Project Description
In the heart of Brooklyn’s Coney Island, across the street from Nathans Famous Restaurant, Vertex Engineering Services constructed a new facility for both the NYCT (New York City Transit) and NYPD (New York Police Department). This Portal Building will house the NYPDs District #34 precinct and the NYCTs Signal Maintenance Department. The ground floor will be dedicated to retail space for vendors.
Vertex Engineering Services, Inc. selected Smalls Electrical Construction to install a total of 20 electrical systems ranging from Transit Signal
Radio System to NYPD Emergency Lockdown System.
Rarely does the MTA build new buildings. Therefore, we are especially proud of successfully completing this new landmark project.
