Project Description
Smalls Electrical Construction was responsible for the complete removal and upgrading of the existing Power, Lighting and Communications systems at the 231 st Street train station in the borough of the Bronx. This project also included a new state of the art facial recognition surveillance system for passengers entering as well as exiting the station.
The general contractor for this project was Prude Construction. Prude’s approach to building and managing this station rehabilitation was like no other general contractor we have worked for. Prude’s strength was evident in their sincere commitment to build a successful project for the NYCT by continuously coordinating with and supporting the various trades as well as taking a proactive and creative approach as opposed to one that is reactive to the owner’s discovery of issues.
